It's been awhile since I've felt good about an outfit I'm wearing. (There aren't that many vintage-inspired maternity clothes, although I did have a few standout Retro pieces (coats, everyday dress, and cocktail dress) from the 1940s and 1950s.) Yesterday's brown and black outfit put a spring in my step and was therefore worth sharing.
My outfit started out with a purse, a classic Coach station bag I found on Etsy, and I went from there. We were taking Gates to the pediatrician for her two month checkup so I wanted something that was comfortable. I pulled out a Spence Petite empire waist dress from my closet and topped it with a 2004 cropped cardigan from Express.
Of course, my outfit included boots. I can pair boots with anything, any time of the year. These suede boots were purchased from a thrift store for $10 for my first Burning Man. I loved them so much that they never made it to the playa and they don't even leave my closet in inclement weather. Even though it's spring here in San Francisco, I wore the boots over a pair of B.ella Wollissimo wool tights from Sock Dreams. (You wouldn't believe the happy dance I did when I discovered I fit into my tights again - I have a nice collection that's sat packed in lavender and cedar for the past nine plus months.)
What's your go to comfort color?
Ciao Bella!
