Almost every morning and evening I walk by the San Francisco Friends School. In the morning the sidewalk is filled with kids; I walk by on the opposite side of the street not wanting to interrupt the myriad of greetings and goodbyes occurring. The grounds of the San Francisco Friends School are beautifully manicured, yet I seldom get a chance to stop and admire them up close. Last night in the golden hour I looked at the landscaping and took some photos.
When I'm photographing flowers I look for contrasts. I look for repetition of shape. I also look for the out of the ordinary (a future The Scene Today post). cubes and I went through the flowers I shot and narrowed the Rock Roses down to two (we both have different favorites).
